Scotch® 2228

A two-component insulating and sealing tape with a thick coating of mastic on the inside and with self-fusing EPR synthetic rubber on the outside. Supplied on a liner. Thanks to the mastic, it bonds well to various substrates, remains permanently conformable and is puncture resistant. Resistant to UV and ozone, acid, weather and mechanical stretch, The best tape for sealing not only in electronics. Application without flame or tools. It is flame retardand, heat conductive and demonstrates high dielectric strength.

Usage:

  • electrical insulation up to 1 kV also for HV
  • both LV and HV bus bar insulation up to 35 kV
  • padding
  • moisture sealing of cable ends
  • repairs of damaged rubber cables
  • providing a sealing on cable clearance (a bottleneck).

 

Scotch® 2151

A black EPR self-fusing tape, insulating up to 0.6 kV. An easily removable liner from light grey flatback polypropylene. Outstanding electrical and thermal properties, suitable for all common cable materials (insulation and sheathing). Applied with 100 % elongation at minimum, it creates a homogenous, compact insulation mass, without differentiated layers, within a short time.

Usage:

  • cable insulation up to 0.6 kV, repairs of cable sheathing
  • moisture sealing.

 

Scotchfil™

A self-fusing tape which creates a filling layer with very good aging, corrosion, solvent and grease resistance. Insulating and good heat conduction. Can be used by both pressure and stretch, even in temperatures below zero.

Usage:

  • sealing
  • filling out damaged spots in cables of any structure
  • filling out irregularities
  • LV connections sealing.

 

 

VM tape

A two-component insulating and sealing tape on a liner. The outside is high quality stronger PVC and it is butyl rubber adhesive coated on the inside. Resists the weather, UV exposure, alkalis and acids. Bonds very well to various cable sheathing materials, e.g., PE, PVC and others. Easy, cheap repair of damaged plastic cable sheathings, while sealing is ensured. The repaired surface is smooth and glossy, just like the plastic cable sheathing. The mastic gets into damaged spots, fills them and provides perfect sealing.

Usage:

  • repairs of smaller damaged sections of plastic cable sheathings
  • sealing and insulating.
