Magnetic Tapes MGO
MGO 1316
A flexible adhesive magnetic tape with a liner. It can be bent, twisted, stretched and cut without losing the magnetic force. It conforms to the surface and does not break. When damaged or dropped it does not lose its magnetic properties. It is permanently magnetic. The tape is adhesive coated on one side. The adhesive bonds very well to various types of material including wood, metal and plastics with high surface energy, such as polypropylene. The tape is highly resistant to the weather, low temperatures and UV exposure. It is medium resistant to acids. The magnet's holding force depends on the layout. The tensile strength is usually higher than the shear strength. It is the highest with the tape on one side and a ferromagnetic board on the other (with no gap, no varnish). Even higher strength can be achieved if two tapes are used against each other in the same orientation. 0.9 mm thickness.
Usage:
- for magnetic shielding of devices, e.g., back side of a monitor
- for minor changes of magnetic fields, e.g., CRT adjusting
- for holding signs, banners, exhibits, photos or covers on walls and also vehicles.
If the object (e.g., a board) is to be held on a non-magnetic surface (e.g., a plastic wall), it is necessary to stick magnets to this wall, precisely against the magnets on the board. For best results, it is recommended to use several small rectangles of the tape, or to use the entire perimeter of the board's back. If the board is to hold heavy samples or exhibits, it is possible to stick the tape diagonally.
MGO 1317
The same as MGO 1316, but 1.6 mm thick. Thanks to its thickness, it has higher holding strength and is tougher.
